The studio

Made by hand,
with intention

Golden Hour Fibers is a working fiber arts LLC — spinning, weaving, felting, and building tools that serve the craft.

The story

Golden Hour Fibers started at a wheel and a frame loom, in a studio full of fiber scraps I couldn't bring myself to throw away. Art yarn was the answer — spinning those scraps of wool, linen, leftover roving, and salvaged fabric into something new and one-of-a-kind.

The yarn is the primary work. Every skein is spun by hand, blended from wool and whatever else is on the bench — reclaimed fiber scraps from weaving and sewing projects, natural dye waste, texture and color that would otherwise go to landfill. No two skeins are the same.

Alongside the yarn, I weave on a frame loom, felt occasionally, and sew from studio scraps. The woven goods are made to order, using yarn from the studio.

The tools — starting with Overshot Studio — grew out of frustration with weaving software that assumes you have shaft looms. Frame loom weavers control every warp thread individually, and there wasn't anything built for that. So I built it.

What we make

Art yarn (primary)

Handspun from wool and reclaimed fiber scraps. Worsted to super-bulky. Every skein is small-batch and one-of-a-kind.

Woven goods

Frame-loom woven pieces made to order — wall hangings, table runners, small textiles. Uses yarn from the studio.

Felted & sewn pieces

Seasonal. Felted vessels, small accessories, and sewn goods made from natural fiber and studio scraps.

Overshot Studio (free tool)

A pattern generator for frame loom weavers. Built because the software didn't exist. Free, no account required.
